Creō Studios is a British fashion brand born in Manchester.

Upon founding the company, we wanted to communicate our love for British Heritage. As we proceeded to research British history we learnt that Latin became the principal language of the elite amidst the formation of the Roman Empire, which led to the uncovering of the term “Creō”.

A Latin lexeme which translates directly as a verb; “to create”. When this aligned with our hunger for product and desire to design, it seemed only right to utilise it as part of the brand’s name. We paired this with our working place of residence which was an old cotton mill converted studio.

A Creative Studio. Creō Studios. The plurality stems from the ambition for expansion. This brand name is then turned into an acronym that delivers our slogan;

“Creativity Rejects Every Obstacle.”

Creō Studios resides in the heart of Manchester, renowned for adopting the symbol of the bee. Our unique character CS Lewy is a denotation of an evolved worker bee who gives us a unique insight into the thought processes of his mind and where his creativity stems from. Not only that, but he is named after one of this country’s most famous writer’s; C.S Lewis.

A lost art that we all grew up on, the epitome of escapism; getting lost with your own imagination and revelling in deep thought. The true pinnacle of creation. The digital world saps inspiration and this societal shift diffuses the mind of the creative. Therefore, we utilise high quality garments as vessels of information. Entwined into the yarns are conceptual narratives that take you on seasonal journeys as we uncover modern topics, explore historical events and celebrate public figures. How can you be an artist and not reflect the times?

The custom "Sponge Fleece" fabric is a marvel of textile engineering, crafted with an eye towards creating an opulent texture that envelopes the wearer in a cocoon of comfort.
